We visit every farm we work with - meeting farms, farmers, building relationships, and ensuring quality at the source. Every cup of our coffee is backed by trust and care
Great coffee is shaped long before it reaches your cup and depends on much more than your brewing gear. Around 40% of the flavor is determined by the beans and how they’re processed, which is why we work directly with farmers all over the world to source the finest lots.
Another 30% comes from roasting and freshness, and at Lore & Roast we roast in small batches and store carefully so your coffee always tastes vibrant, not stale.
About 20% depends on the water and grinding, which you control at home with our brew tips, and the final 10% comes from extraction.
That means most of your cup’s character is shaped before it even reaches you and that’s where we make the biggest difference.
